Steve Hobbs

Steve has studied and trained in improv relentlessly with the Impatient Theatre Co. for several years, kicking down names and taking classroom doors.

He first studied the harold at age 16 under Second City's Rob Norman, though the bulk of his training has come through ITC veterans Kevin Patrick Robbins, Allison Hogg, and Sean Magee. Through workshops, he's studied under pros such as IO Chicago's Jeff Griggs, DSI's Rene Duquesnoy, and Second City Cleveland's Rachel Madorsky.

Steve enjoys playing and competing in a variety of shows and formats (ie "Second City's Naked Fridays", "The Stoned Pony Blues show", "Beerprov", "Post Secret", "Jammin' On the One", "the Bat", "the Mosaic", etc.), and has been a returning featured player at international comedy festivals ("the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival", "the Del Close Marathon). He can also be found in the classroom, having taught longform classes with the ITC, University of Toronto improv groups, and various other workshop sessions in the past.

In addition to non-ITC groups "Jenkins Syndrome" and "Is This Happening", Steve plays weekly in the all-male house team "El Fantoma", and is a featured player in the ITC's armando-style favourite "Munchausen".
