The Toronto International Improv Festival was created in 2002 to showcase the improv talents of the world to Toronto improvisers and the comedy lovers of the city.
The Toronto International Improv Festival invited a selection of artists to perform in Toronto over a four-day stretch from Aug. 15-18, 2002. This small gathering led to praise from critics and performers and Toronto quickly became one of the most desireable stops on the improv festival circuit. We have since featured artists from Canada, the USA, Norway, Great Britain, Australia and more.
